Beltangady: Holy Redeemer English Medium School hosts orientation programme on adolescence factors

Beltangady, Oct 14: Many components of adolescence were beautifully put forth to the students in the orientation program held on October 14. Resource persons were from Father Muller College of Nursing, Mangaluru.

The programme began with a solemn prayer song bybthe school choir members. Teacher Preetha D'Souza welcomed the gathering. Ashwin Bromeo, associate professor, department of medical surgical nursing, gave an overview on the contents of the orientation. Headmaster Fr Clifford Pinto addressed the students about the need of this orientation.

The first session was conducted by Wilma Noronha, professor and Dr Josmitha D'Souza, lecturer in department of child health nursing, who spoke very beautifully on various aspects of adolescent behaviours.

The second session was held for boys and girls separately. The session for high school boys was conducted by Ashwin Bromeo and session for primary boys was conducted by Dr Josmitha, about personal hygiene and improvement.

Session for girls was conducted by Dr Reena Frank, associate professor and Sunitha Fernandes, assistant professor, department of OBG nursing, about various physical and mental aspects.

In the conclusion ceremony, teacher Prabha proposed the vote of thanks. Teacher Saritha Rodrigues compered the programme.
