Mangaluru: Mount Carmel Swimmers win medals in AICS inter school swimming championship

Mangaluru, Oct 28: In the AICS Inter-School Swimming Championships 2024 held for Udupi and DK schools at The Yenepoya School, students of Mount Carmel Central School, Mangaluru excelled by winning multiple medals across various events.

Individual Achievements:

Ronan Aaron D'Silva, Grade X, won a silver in the 200m individual medley, silver in the 50m breaststroke, and bronze in the 50m butterfly.

Reema A S, Grade VII, secured a gold in the 50m backstroke and a silver in the 50m freestyle.

Shayden Prinston Rego, Grade V, earned silver in the 50m breaststroke.

Alita D'Souza, Grade IV, took home a silver in the 50m breaststroke.

Nishka Sonora Fernandes, Grade IV, bagged a silver in the 50m backstroke, bronze in the 50m butterfly, and bronze in the 200m individual medley.

Relay team performances:

The girls Under-12 Freestyle Relay team won bronze, as did the Under-12 Medley Relay team, comprising Reema A S (Grade VII), Princia Velora Lobo (Grade VII), Nishka Fernandes (Grade IV), and Alita D'Souza (Grade IV).

The school management, principal, and staff have extended their heartfelt congratulations to the swimmers on their impressive achievements and wished them continued success in future competitions.
