Mangaluru: Fire engulfs electric buggies at Pilikula Nisargadhama; two vehicles destroyed

Mangaluru, Oct 30: An electric buggy, placed on charge at the Pilikula Nisargadhama workshop, reportedly sparked and ignited a fire early on Wednesday October 30 morning, leading to the destruction of two vehicles.

The incident occurred in the parking area, where more than ten buggies were stationed. Local residents who were out for their morning walk spotted the blaze and swiftly moved the remaining buggies away from the flames.

The quick response by Pilikula Nisargadhama security personnel, along with local residents, helped prevent further damage.

Firefighters from Kadri fire station arrived approximately 30 minutes after the fire began. Officers from Kavoor and Mangaluru rural police stations also visited the scene to assess the situation.
