Mangaluru: Lourdes Central School inaugurates new music room

Mangaluru, Oct 30: The inauguration and blessing ceremony of the new music room at Lourdes Central School was held with great reverence and joy. The ceremony was presided over by Dr JB Saldanha, the esteemed manager of Lourdes Central School, who performed the inaugural blessing.

He was joined by Fr Johnson Sequeira, the principal of LCS, along with Fr Norman Mathias and Fr Peter Mascarenhas. The event was also graced by the presence of the school’s dedicated music teachers Roshan V Cordeiro and Ivan Mascarenhas, as well as special guests Ashok Pinto and Avitha Pinto, representing the parish parishad of Bejai Church.

The choir members filled the atmosphere with a prayer song, setting a serene and soulful tone for the occasion. Following the prayer, an instrumental piece was performed by the musicians of Lourdes Central School as a symbolic mark of the inauguration, showcasing their talent and dedication.

Erica Fernandes and Rovina Andrade served as the emcees, guiding the programme with poise and clarity. The ceremony concluded with Viona Pinto proposing a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all those present and involved in the realization of this important milestone.

This blessed event marked not only the inauguration of a new space but also the beginning of a new chapter for musical exploration and growth at Lourdes Central School.
