New Delhi: 11th International Children’s Festival Begins

New Delhi, Dec 10: The 11th International Children’s Festival and arts exhibition organized by Ryan International Group of Education Institutes under Ryan Foundation, began on Thursday December 8.

Union civil aviation minister Vayalar Ravi inaugurated the festival which was organized in association with Indian Council for Relations and National Bal Bhavan at Talkatora Stadium on Thursday.  The festival was themed ‘World is My Playground’.

Union minister Vayalar Ravi also inaugurated the children’s art exhibition.

Speaking at the occasion, he said that International Children’s Festival gets global exposure for Indian culture, besides educating the new generation of Indians about the splendour of diverse cultures.

He also lauded the efforts of Ryan Group in organizing the festival.

Union social justice minister Mukul Vasnik was the chief guest. Ministers Subhodkant Sahai, K P Venugopal, New Delhi legislative assembly deputy speaker Amrisha Singh Goutham, and Rajya Sabha member Oscar Fernandes were the guests of honour on the occasion.

Ryan International Group of Education Institutes’ managing director Grace Pinto and CEO Ryan A Pinto honoured the guests.

Over 5,000 children from India, Bangladesh, Brazil, Finland, Germany, Indonesia, Iran, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Malaysia, Morocco, Nepal, Pakistan, Poland, Switzerland, Romania, Russia, Sri Lanka, Slovenia, Turkey, Thailand, Uzbekistan, Zambia, Zimbabwe and other countries are participating in the festival.

The students of Ryan Group of Education Institutes staged various programmes depicting the splendor of Indian culture. Grace Pinto welcomed the gathering.

The four-day festival will be held at five venues in the national capital and will conclude on Sunday December 11.
