Puttur: Students of St Philomena PU College qualify for national level finswimming championship

Puttur, Nov 9: Students of St Philomena PU College, showcased their exceptional swimming skills at the 2nd Karnataka state finswimming championship-2024. The championship was organized by the Karnataka Underwater Sports and Finswimming Association on November 3 at Dr Shivarama Karantha Balavana, Parlladka, Puttur.

The swimmers are qualified to the National Level Finswimming Championship to be held at Delhi from November 15 to 17.

The swimmers were trained by Partha Varanashi, Niroop G R, Deekshith Rao and Rohith Prakash. They were guided by Dr Elias Pinto and Rajesh Mooliya, physical education directors, St Philomena P U College, Puttur.

The correspondent, Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, Mai De Deus Educational Institutions and the principal, Fr Ashok Rayan Crasta congratulated the following students:

R Aman Raj (I PCME 'E') won 2 gold medals in BI - FINS 100m and APNEA 50m. 2 silver medals in BI- FINS 50m and BI-FINS 200m in men's category.

Anvith Rai Barike (I PCME 'E') won 2 gold medals in MONO - FIN 50m and BI - FINS 50m. 2 silver medals in MONO - FIN 100m and BI - FINS 100m in men's category.

Diganth V S (I PCMC 'E') won 2 gold medals in BI - FINS 200m and MONO - FIN 100m. Silver medal in APNEA 50m in men's category.

Pradhi Clare Pinto (I PCMB 'C') won 3 silver medals in MONO - FIN 50m, BI - FINS 50m and BI - FINS 100m women's category.
