Srinivas University organises guest talk on enhancing skill of communication

Mangaluru, Nov 13: The Institute of Management and Commerce, department of social sciences and humanities at Srinivas University conducted an insightful guest talk for MSW (Master of Social Work) students on November 12.

The programme has been organized under the guidance of Dr Venketesh S Amin, dean-IMC and Prof Joyson, head of the department, Prof Ranjith Bhat, Dr Lavenna DNello and Dr Vidya. The session was graced by Prof Deepak J from IMC, who shared valuable insights on the significance of communication skills in the professional world.

The session began with a warm welcome and an introduction to the esteemed speaker. Prof Deepak emphasized the critical role that strong communication skills play in personal and professional development. His speech was followed by an interactive activity that allowed students to engage in practical exercises designed to enhance their communication abilities.

These activities included a Robotic Command Role Play and a Strategic Building Game, which encouraged active participation and teamwork. Throughout the session, students were highly engaged, contributing to discussions and activities that deepened their understanding of how communication skills can be applied across various professional contexts.

The session was compered by Bhoomika, delivered the welcome speech by Allen, prayer by Nithin and vote of thanks by Divyashree. and bringing the event to a meaningful close. The entire guest talk provided MSW students with valuable insights into the importance of communication in building both professional relationships and personal development. This enriching experience reinforced the importance of honing communication skills as an essential tool for success in the dynamic and evolving professional world.
