UAE Bunts honour Sarvotham Shetty couple for 47 years of leadership

Dubai, Nov 30: UAE Bunts honoured Sarvotham Shetty and his wife, Usha Shetty, for their remarkable 47 years of service and leadership at the 47th ‘Gulf Buntotsava-2024’. The couple received an elaborate and heartfelt felicitation during the event, which saw the participation of committee members, advisors, and members of the organization.

In his address, Sarvotham Shetty expressed his gratitude, saying, "The greatest gift God has given me is the strength to organize. This strength, supported by your blessings, has enabled me to serve as the leader of UAE Bunts for the past 44 years. This honour, bestowed without my knowledge, brings immense joy. I dedicate my years of organizational strength to my wife, who has been my unwavering support."

The felicitation ceremony included a grand procession where Sarvotham Shetty and Usha Shetty were brought to the stage adorned with a traditional turban, shawl, memento, and symbolic gifts such as betel leaves, bananas, vegetables, rice, and jasmine garlands. The colourful parade, accompanied by drum performances, reflected the cultural richness of the occasion.

On stage, UAE Bunts vice president Praveen Kumar Shetty Vakwadi and secretary Raviraj Shetty, along with other office-bearers and members of the organizing committee, systematically presented various honours to the couple. Shashi Raviraj Shetty read the felicitation letter, while Nitesh Shetty Ekkar and Kudla Channel news presenter Priya Harish compered the event.
