Mangaluru: St Ann's High School celebrates Christmas Day

Mangaluru, Dec 23: Christmas Day celebration in St Ann's High School was a vibrant and joyous event that brought students, teachers and staff together in the spirit of festivity. It was held on Saturday December 21 in the school hall. The programme was performed with great enthusiasm by the students of standard 8A to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ and thus embrace the values of love, sharing and togetherness.

Dr Fr Ivan D'Souza, professor of Indian philosophy at St Joseph's inter diocesan seminary, Jeppu, Mangaluru, graced the programme as the chief guest. The programme began with a soulful prayer service. Ridha warmly welcomed the chief guest and the gathering. It was followed by a delightful welcome dance.

Nila shared the importance of the day among the gathering. The spirit of Christmas was beautifully portrayed through a Christmas tableau 'Christha Jayanti', the journey of birth of Jesus Christ. The melodious Christmas carols that followed added a musical Charm. The students then presented a lively dance that filled the air with joy. Father Ivan D'Souza shared an inspiring message emphasized on love, hope and sharing as a true spirit of Christmas through a meaningful demonstration.

Sr Ruby D’Souza AC the headmistress, congratulated the students for their beautiful performance and wished everyone that love, peace and joy brought down by Jesus prevail in all, families and society. Ritheesha R Ullal of standard 8A proposed the vote of thanks. Ridha and Lahari compered the programme.
