Mega-conference ‘DYOTA’ of CA students concludes in Udupi

Udupi, Dec 30:  The mega-conference for CA students, organized by the board of studies, ICAI, New Delhi, and hosted by the ICAI Udupi Branch (SIRC) and SICASA, concluded successfully at the Ammanni Ramanna Shetty Memorial Auditorium.

The two-day event, themed “DYOTA – Enlightening Minds, Empowering Futures,” aimed to inspire and empower aspiring chartered accountants through insightful sessions and interactions.

Inaugural session
The conference was inaugurated on December 27, with Dr CA Raghavendra Rao, chancellor of Srinivas University, as the chief guest, and Prof Dr Gururaj H Kidiyoor, dean of TAPMI, as the guest of honour.

Day 1 highlights

  • Technical sessions:
    • Company Law and the Banking Industry: Chaired by CA K Padmanabha Kanchan.
    • Indirect Taxation: Chaired by CA Sabana.
  • Special Session:
    • The Future of Auditing: Innovations and Challenges in the Digital World by CA Gopal Krishna Raju.

Day 2 highlights

  • Special sessions:
    • Ethical Leadership in the Accounting Profession: Challenges and Opportunities by CA V Pattabhi Ram from Chennai.
    • An interactive session with the board of studies, ICAI.
  • Technical sessions:
    • Advanced professional topics, chaired by CA Sujana HR and CA Vishranth BL.
  • Motivational session:
    • Breaking Barriers: Conquering Challenges with Strength and Serenity on the CA Path by CA Shirish Vyas from Mumbai.

The conference was organized under the leadership of CA Kirana Kumar H, chairman of the Udupi Branch, with the support of a dedicated team.

The valedictory session highlighted the importance of ethical practices and innovation in shaping the future of the accounting profession, providing attendees with valuable insights for their professional growth.
