By Luvena Rangel (The Curvy Yogi)

Bengaluru, Jan 13: Kanara Entrepreneurs (KE) maintained its annual tradition of a December to remember with yet another lavishly planned and executed Christmas Xtravaganza 2.0 at the Palace Greens recently.

With a keen vision to keep KE’s Christmas celebration as one of the most significant gatherings bringing together members and their families in joyous celebration, the KE board of directors under the leadership of KE president, Claudius Pereira ensured the evening was seamlessly on point. With every board member actively involved in the planning to execution, the celebration was one that appealed to every single guest’s sense of delight. The decorations and aesthetics were elegant and festive and began right from the entry point to the dance floor, Santa’s grotto, welcome cake and wine and even the buffet arrangements.

A special mention must be made about the members who volunteered their time to man the registration desk on a roster. Their keen enthusiasm helped to seamlessly ensure all members were registered and provided with their coupons for the evening eliminating any scope for errors.

The evening commenced with an astounding carol singing performance by the marvellous singers of Jyoti Seva, a school for the visually impaired. The melodious notes of their powerful singing had the guests mesmerized and filled with awe. The performance followed with the board of directors leading everyone with celebratory carols.

The highlight of the evening was the Bumper Housie, called by Rebecca Vieyra-Davis, who kept everyone on alert with the game that was packed with top notch cash prizes with a whopping five Full Houses. A super bumper draw of 25K was another glittering attraction that brought a solid close to the Bingo wins.

Carol Pereira, the affable emcee of the evening, led the guests with a Christmas march followed by a fun Christmas Scavenger Hunt contested by the Naughty Ladies and the Nice Gents of KE. The festive scramble that did not even spare Santa’s belt, had the Naughty Ladies win the prize winning Bubbly second year in a row.

Among the guests - members and par presidents alike, the presence of KE global chairman Ivan Fernandes and his wife, Renny, who came in all the way from Dubai, elevated the significance of the year end gaiety.

RhythMMates provided the music for the evening that elevated the spirits to a whole new level. The were able to assess the pulse of the floor with tunes that brought the dancers out of their comfort zone – whether it be group steps matched with gusto or solo performances danced like no one was watching.

A special mention needs to be made about the exceptional attention given to the dinner table. The spread was magnificent and included a lavish variety of snacks and main courses including a delightfully curated Mangalurean inclusions that stirred nostalgia and evoked a sense of comfort and home.

As entrepreneurs, the event showcased business spirit by providing a space for seven of the member businesses to showcase their products and services. Products ranged from Christmas sweets, eatables, cold pressed oils, and festive decorations to investment services, philanthropic services and interior decoration services.

The Christmas Xtravaganza 2.0 was powered by the dynamic board and left no stone unturned to make the evening a memorable one for KE’s members and guests alike. Their hands-on presence throughout the evening was remarkable. Evenings like these turn networking into a community affair – that not only brings all together in festive celebration but also unites everyone in spirit, cheer and harmony.

All the sponsors and well-wishers were thanked who made the evening as wonderful as it was.
