Lucknow, Jan 6: Exhorting the people to give a clear mandate in favour of his Samajwadi Party, the party state chief Akhilesh Yadav stated that Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) are conniving to again form a coalition government.
Akhilesh addressed several meeting during his Kranti Rath journey in Sambhal and Moradabad district on Thursday.
"You are well aware that BSP and BJP are two faces of same coin. They had joined hands in the past and now the recent induction of corrupt sacked ministers from BSP to BJP also establishes the fact," he said.
Buoyed over good turnout, Akhilesh claimed that this time the SP government will be different with a vision for development and youth friendly policies.
Akhilesh also lashed out at the Congress party stating that it also remained a mute spectator when the state was ruined by BSP. "The Congress leader claim that elephant is eating all the money and gaining weight. But instead of taking any action they are providing more money as fodder to the elephant," he said.
In a sarcastic tone he remarked: "Come with cycle else the mad elephant will ruin your fields and even trample you."
The SP scion claimed that SP workers and leaders were harassed during the BSP regime. "Even me and Netaji (Mulayam Singh) were not spared. One of our youth leader was beaten by a police officer using his boot," he said.
Akhilesh claimed that after assuming power such officials will be given a unique uniform so that they can be identfied from a distance.
The SP leader also raised the Muslim reservation issue stating that Congress has played the Muslim reservation card which is not going to benefit the Muslims.
