Udupi, Mar 15: Union minister Pralhad Joshi visited the Udupi BJP office on Saturday to meet with party members and discuss key developments at both the state and national levels. His visit comes at a crucial time as the country prepares to commemorate the completion of 11 years of BJP governance in May.
In his address, he said, "The BJP government is set to complete 11 years in power this May, and in this period, the nation has experienced tremendous growth. Under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who has taken the oath for the third time, the country has witnessed vast transformations in various sectors. From infrastructure development to economic growth, the BJP has steered India toward a path of prosperity," Joshi remarked.

"The union minister also emphasized the improvements in the country’s power sector, citing how the previous shortages and power cuts have now become a thing of the past. "There was a time when the nation struggled with power shortages and frequent power cuts. Today, however, India stands tall with an improved power generation capacity, and the issue of power cuts has been eliminated, thanks to the visionary policies of the BJP government," Joshi added.
Joshi critiqued the Karnataka state government's budget, particularly focusing on the reservation policies laid out by CM Siddaramaiah. He also raised concerns about the lack of true equality. "In the CM Siddaramaiah's budget, more emphasis has been placed on reservation policies for backward classes, and while that is commendable, it is crucial that these policies ensure true equality and fairness for all sections of society,"
MP Kota Srinivas Poojary; MLAs Yashpal Suvarna; Gurme Suresh shetty; Kiran Kumar Kodgi; BJP district president Kishore Kumar; BJP leaders Uday Kumar Shetty and Lalaji Mendon; Udupi CMC president and vice president, Prabhakar Poojary and Rajani Hebbar and other party workers were present.
