Mumbai, Mar 29: Mumbai Police has intensified security and stepped-up patrolling across several sensitive areas, including Dongri, following a social media alert warning of possible arson attacks, bomb blasts, and communal riots during Eid.
A 23-year-old student from Ghaziabad, who describes himself as a ‘real nationalist’ on X (formerly Twitter), claimed that illegal immigrants from Rohingya, Bangladesh, and Pakistan could be behind the alleged threats. He specifically warned of violence between March 31 and April 1 and tagged Navi Mumbai Police, urging vigilance.

Responding swiftly, Navi Mumbai Police sought further information from the user and increased security measures. Alongside the local police, the crime branch, Anti-Terrorism Squad, and Special Branch have been put on high alert.
Similar warnings were issued for Delhi, with the user tagging Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, Delhi Police, and UP Police, claiming that areas like Chandni Chowk, Jama Masjid, and Jahangirpuri could be targeted.
Authorities have assured that no unusual activities have been reported so far, but strict surveillance and patrolling will continue to ensure public safety.
