Beltangady, Apr 9: The department of Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) at Sacred Heart College, Madanthyar successfully hosted interclass IT fest, Cipher 2025, showcasing the talent, creativity, and technical skills of its students
The event commenced with a grand trophy launch by the chief guest, Dr Vinayachandra, registrar and HoD of BCA (UG & PG), St Philomena College, Puttur (Autonomous), along with the president of the function, Prof Alex Ivan Sequeira. This was followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a heartfelt prayer service led by Tejadri and team, setting a positive and spiritual tone for the day.









The formal programme began with a warm welcome address by Wilson Rodrigues, student coordinator, followed by an eloquent guest introduction by Rashmitha, secretary of the IT Forum.
The entire ceremony was professionally hosted by Melani and Hrithika of III BCA. At the end of the formal session, a sincere vote of thanks was delivered by Praneetha of III BCA, expressing gratitude to all contributors and participants.
Speaking at the event, Dr Vinayachandra applauded the initiative and remarked, “Cipher 2025 is an excellent example of how interclass activities can inspire learning, leadership, and innovation within the department.”
President Prof Alex Ivan Sequeira praised the team for their professionalism and vision, encouraging students to continue striving for excellence. Janardhana Rao D, head of the department of BCA, and Viyola Serrao, IT Forum coordinator, student coordinator Wilson Rodrigues, vice president Vilas and secretary Rashmitha were present.
A special highlight of the occasion was the felicitation of NCC cadets of Sacred Heart College for their remarkable achievements in various camps, drills, and leadership activities.
The college recognised and honoured their dedication, discipline, and contribution to the institution's proud legacy. Their commitment to service and excellence was appreciated by both the dignitaries and the audience.
The fest concluded with a vibrant valedictory ceremony, where winners were honoured with trophies and certificates, and all participants were appreciated for their spirited contributions.
Cipher 2025 stood out as a day of enthusiasm, engagement, and empowerment, fostering healthy competition and unity among BCA students at Sacred Heart College.
The fest featured 14 dynamic events, with a total of 181 students participating from I BCA and II BCA, while III BCA students took the lead as event hosts and coordinators.
