Fr Robin Victor D’Souza elected provincial minister of Holy Trinity Capuchin Province

Bengaluru, Apr 24: Fr Robin Victor D’Souza, OFM Cap, was elected as the provincial minister by the X Ordinary Provincial Chapter held at Shanti Sadhana, FISI, Bengaluru, on Wednesday, April 23.

He will animate the Holy Trinity Capuchin Province, Karnataka, for a term of three years. Fr Robin hails from the Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, Nakre, in the diocese of Udupi.

Fr Paul Melwyn D’Souza (re-elected as vicar provincial and first councillor), Fr Naveen Santhosh D’Souza (second councillor), Fr Charles Furtado (third Councillor), and Fr Anthony Raj (fourth Councillor) have been elected as provincial councillors to accompany the provincial minister.

The Holy Trinity Province of Karnataka has a membership of over 242 perpetually professed Capuchin priests and brothers, working in Karnataka, Bhopal, Nagaland-Manipur, Mizoram-Tripura, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Japan, Arabia, Italy, Turkey, New York, Guam, Germany, and Israel.

Franciscan Capuchins, who follow and imitate the spirit of St Francis of Assisi, are known for their missionary zeal, confession ministry, preaching, apostolate of education, and social work.
