Mangaluru, May 3: The Mangaluru City police have arrested seven individuals in connection with three separate stabbing incidents reported on Friday, May 2 across Ullal, Kankanady Town, and Kavoor police station limits.
In the first case, Naushad (39) was stabbed around 3:30 am at Kannur under the Kankanady Town police station. He was immediately admitted to Unity Hospital, and a case was registered under Crime No. 74/2025, invoking Sections 126(2), 118(1), 109, and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Police arrested three persons in connection with the attack, who have also confessed to involvement in another stabbing incident that occurred earlier the same day near Thokottu, around 12:30 am, under Ullal police station limits (Crime No. 60/2025) involving Sections 189(2), 189(4), 191(2), 109, and 3(5) of the BNS.

In a separate incident on the same day, Kavoor police registered Crime No. 68/2025 based on a complaint by Mohammed Luqman, a fish vendor who was attacked at 6:45 am near Derebail Konchadi by a group of 5–6 people who arrived in a black Innova car. The assailants allegedly assaulted him using a helmet, kicks, and blows, following an argument over taking photographs.
Four men have been arrested in connection with the Kavoor assault case, registered under Sections 189(2), 191(2), 115(2), 118(1), 352, 351(2) r/w Section 190 of the BNS.

All accused have been produced before court. The police clarified that photographs of the accused will not be released at this stage, as per standard legal procedure. A Test Identification Parade (TIP) will be conducted since the victims did not know the attackers personally. Releasing images beforehand may compromise the TIP process and affect the integrity of the investigation.
Further investigation is ongoing in all three cases.
