Mangaluru, Jul 25: The postmortem report in the shocking Kudupu group murder case has confirmed that Muhammad Ashraf, a native of Kerala, died due to a brutal and violent assault, leaving the district shaken.

Ashraf, who was allegedly killed by a group in Kudupu, sustained severe injuries to various parts of his body, including his head and kidneys. The autopsy report indicates that the victim — described as an innocent man — died as a result of these grievous injuries.

The postmortem was conducted on April 28 at Wenlock Hospital in the presence of forensic experts, including Dr Mahabalesh Shetty from Kshema Hospital, Derlakatte. The forensic and autopsy findings reveal chilling details of the assault.

Four wooden clubs, suspected to have been used in the attack, were also sent for forensic examination. The injuries observed on Ashraf’s body were found to match the characteristics of these clubs.
