Mangaluru, Sep 6: The Prathibha Puraskara and scholarship distribution ceremony, held on Saturday, September 6, in memory of the late Molahalli Shivarao, was organized by SCDCC Bank to honour meritorious students from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts for their academic excellence in SSLC and PUC during the academic year 2024-25.

A total of 24 outstanding students from both districts were felicitated and awarded scholarships.

Speaking on the occasion, MLC Manjunath Bhandary said, “SCDCC Bank has recognized meritorious students for their academic achievements. A student must develop three key skills: academic skills up to SSLC, analytical skills during PUC, and technical skills during their degree course, which will help in their professional journey. Students should set clear goals in life, which require consistent effort and sacrifice.”

Dr M N Rajendra Kumar, president of SCDCC Bank, encouraged students by stating, “Today, SSLC and PUC students are being honoured for their academic excellence. There is no need to give back to me, but once you reach greater heights, ensure you recognize and support others who achieve academic success.”

Deeksha V from Udupi, who entered the Golden Book of World Records by completing a 216-hour Bharatnatyam performance, was specially felicitated during the event.

Vice president of SCDCC Bank, Vinay Kumar Soorinje; CEO Gopala Krishna Bhat; directors Devi Prasad Shetty and Sadashiva Ullal; and other dignitaries were present at the event.
