Siolim, Oct 29: In a major anti-narcotics operation, Anjuna Police on Tuesday arrested a 44-year-old Cameroon national, Jude Boussari, a resident of Oxel, Siolim, for alleged possession and peddling of cocaine worth Rs 1.1 lakh.

Acting on a reliable tip-off, police intercepted Boussari while he was riding a scooter at Bammonwado, Siolim. Upon searching him, officers seized 10.53 grams of cocaine and Rs 6.81 lakh in cash. He was immediately taken into custody after following all procedures under the NDPS Act.

Police sources said Boussari had been under surveillance for several weeks. The Crime Branch had earlier identified him as a key supplier to another Cameroonian national, Nambong Fred Karl, who was arrested in July in a commercial quantity drug case (Cr. No. 85/2025). A Look Out Circular (LOC) had already been issued against Boussari prior to his arrest.

The seized narcotics and cash have been secured under a detailed panchanama, officials confirmed. The Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) has been informed to alert the Cameroon Embassy about the arrest.

Police investigations are ongoing to uncover Boussari’s broader links to the drug network operating in North Goa.
