Ancita Olivia Pinto receives convocation honour for securing 10th rank in KSLU exam

Mangaluru, Nov 8: Ancita Olivia Pinto has brought pride to Mangaluru by securing the 10th rank in the Karnataka State Law University (KSLU) examinations held in the year 2022–2023. The certificate of rank was awarded to her during the convocation ceremony held on November 5, at Dharwad.

A distinguished student, Ancita served as the student executive council president at SDM Law College, Mangaluru, for the academic year 2022–2023. She completed her primary and high school education at St Agnes Higher Primary School, followed by Pre-University studies at St Agnes PU College. She pursued her BBA, LLB degree at SDM Law College, obtained her Certificate of Practice in 2023, and has since been practicing as an advocate.







Currently, she is pursuing the company secretary course and interning under CS Chethan Nayak.

During her academic journey, Ancita showcased excellence across various domains. She secured first place in the mock press and debate competitions, received the Best Researcher Award in a moot court competition, and bagged first place as Best Manager in management fests. She also achieved first place in the Finance competition at a national-level management fest.

Her research work titled ‘Abortion Laws in India’ has been published in her college magazine.

Ancita is the daughter of Anil Pinto, an entrepreneur, and Judith O M Crasta, principal public prosecutor at the district and sessions court, Mangaluru. The family are parishioners of Guardian Angel Church, Angelore, Mangaluru. Her sister, Andrea Pinto, was recently awarded a PhD in Immunology by Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA), France.
