Mangaluru, Nov 13: The second edition of "Kudla Hafla", the annual belly dance showcase by Team Shimmylaine, lit up Mangaluru with rhythm, grace, and joy.
Founded by Sharlaine Sequeira, Shimmylaine aims to spread awareness about belly dance as a respectful, artistic, and empowering form of movement that helps individuals build confidence, body awareness, and self-expression.

The event featured captivating performances by Shimmylaine students, along with guest artists Payal Gupta (Mumbai), Rahul Gupta (Delhi), Rhea (Bengaluru), and Rishali (Bengaluru). Students of Shimmylaine, aged between 16 and 70 years, represented different body types and backgrounds, truly living the academy’s motto — “Any Belly Can Dance.”
More than just a showcase, Kudla Hafla celebrated art, confidence, and community.
