Dubai, Nov 14: In a proud moment for the Konkani cultural fraternity in the UAE, Sangon Mugdana Kalakar (SMK), on the occasion of its 18th anniversary, has announced that its much-awaited cultural extravaganza, Kala Festh 2.0, has achieved housefull status through record advance bookings.
This overwhelming response reflects the community’s deep-rooted love, unity, and continued support for Konkani art, music, and culture. The milestone also highlights the enthusiasm of Konkani-speaking audiences who actively uphold and promote artistic initiatives in the region.
The event will feature the popular comedy drama Yena Zalear Vochana, performed by the renowned Konkani comedy artiste Pradeep Barboza, Paladka, and his team. Also performing will be Konkan Yuva, known for their vibrant and energetic dance sequences. Celebrated emcee Roshan D’Silva will anchor the programme with his trademark wit and charm.
The SMK–Dubai organising committee expressed gratitude to community members, patrons, and well-wishers for their overwhelming support, describing it as “a celebration of unity and a reaffirmation of the community’s commitment to preserving its cultural heritage.”
Kala Festh 2.0, organised by Precious Parties & Entertainment in association with Sangon Mugdana Kalakar, will be held at Emirates Theatre, Jumeirah, on Sunday, November 16. Gates will open at 5.30 pm, and the event will begin at 6 pm.
