Following the Mass, the gathering moved to Seon Home, where a solemn blessing ceremony was conducted. Prayers were offered at the entrance, living areas and throughout the residence, invoking God’s grace on the family.
A large gathering of community leaders, parish representatives, relatives and well-wishers were present. Among them were Dion Monteiro, Hemacharya, Micael D’Souza, Michael D’Souza, Lancy D’Souza, Welson, Naveen, Sunil Kutina and Kusha Kumar, along with several other distinguished guests. All dignitaries were welcomed with flower bouquets.
A key moment of the programme was the felicitation of workers and contractors who contributed to the construction of Seon Home. Those honoured included the electrical contractor, building contractor, tiling contractor and team, painter and team, and other skilled workers involved in the project. The gesture was widely appreciated as it reflected the family's gratitude and respect for their contributions.
Children added colour and joy to the event with a graceful dance performance and melodious songs. Family elders, guests and well-wishers were also felicitated with bouquets.
In an emotional address, Denis Mascarenhas, owner of Seon Home and founder of Vidya Jeevan Amruth Trust, expressed his gratitude:
“This home is not just built of cement and bricks; it is built with the prayers, blessings and hard work of so many people. I thank God for granting us this day, and I extend my heartfelt thanks to my family, friends and every worker who stood with us throughout this journey. My dream was not only to build a home for my family but also to create a space that will serve the community through Vidya Jeevan Amruth Trust. May this home be a place of peace, unity and service.”
He also acknowledged the support of priests, sisters, neighbours, well-wishers and members of the extended family who stood by the family throughout the project.
The event, marked by spirituality and warmth, reflected the core values of faith, family and togetherness cherished by the Konkani community.
