Mangaluru: Accident at Bikarnakatte bus stop causes heavy traffic jam

Daijiworld Media Network - Mangaluru

Mangaluru, Dec 6: A bus rammed into a trailer from behind near the Bikarnakatte bus stop on Thursday, leading to a massive traffic block in the area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

The collision caused long queues of vehicles on the busy stretch, disrupting traffic flow for several minutes. Commuters who witnessed the mishap blamed inadequate road signalling and the unscientific entry and exit points connecting nearby roads to the highway for the accident.

Authorities are working to ease traffic congestion and restore smooth movement on the route.

"Commuters who witnessed the mishap blamed inadequate road signalling and the unscientific entry and exit points connecting nearby roads to the highway for the accident" Blaming road authorities is easy. Most of our drivers do not know driving rules. They do not know what the road white & yellow markings are for. UAE vehicles drive at a speed of 140 Kmph., drivers know & follow traffic rules. Using of horn is banned, we cannot think of it here.
