Kanara Entrepreneurs rings in the festive spirit with Christmas Xtravaganza 3.0

Media Release

Bengaluru, Dec 11: Kanara Entrepreneurs (KE) closed the year with its flagship Christmas Xtravaganza 3.0, a mega event that brought together nearly six hundred attendees — KE members, their families and guests — for a day of festive celebration, merrymaking and cheer on Sunday, December 7, at Anantya, Palace Grounds, Bengaluru.

The Xtravaganza was the culmination of weeks of laser-focused planning to engage every member of KE’s extended family, with every aspect from registration to catering handled with meticulous attention to detail. After the streamlined registration process, guests were welcomed with a visual display of inflatable snowmen, reindeer, photo backdrops and eye-catching décor that set the tone for the day.

Keeping the entrepreneurial spirit alive, members showcased an eclectic range of their products and services at stalls reminiscent of a mini Christmas bazaar. Guests were soon carrying bags filled with homemade kuswar, festive treats and carefully curated purchases ranging from books and diaries to furnishings, décor and even eyewear. Member stalls featuring packaging, real estate, financial services and outdoor furniture added to the variety, generating conversations of interest among visitors.

The festivities began with Christmas carols rendered by Musicians@KE, a hobby sub-group of member singers and instrumentalists led by Luvena Rangel and supported by Sangeeth Rego. Children of KE members also joined in, with Carl D’Souza on the guitar, Elaine D’Souza on the keyboard, Jess D’Silva on the drums and vocalist Ashel D’Souza adding youthful energy to the performance. Their carols blended seamlessly with Christmas-themed spot prizes and table questions presented by the emcee, Peter Rebello, who managed the evening with charm and enthusiasm.

KE Women Entrepreneurs led the next segment with a Fancy Dress competition for young children. With angels, miniature Santas, Christmas trees and even the Grinch participating, the judges had a tough time choosing the winner. Every child under 12 received a goodie bag from Santa himself, who made a special appearance.

The much-awaited Housie followed, along with the Bumper Housie. Housie Master Steven Pinto presided over the game, supported humorously by Peter Anil Rego and Luvena Rangel. Their teamwork reflected KE members’ versatility and willingness to step up with minimal notice — a true entrepreneurial mindset at work.

KE GenNow’s ‘Naughty or Nice’ game brought everyone to the floor, demonstrating how effective teamwork can be when infused with fun, laughter and friendly competition. Participants across generations came together to shout, pose for memes, treasure hunt and, ultimately, win. The session, led by Carol Pereira and Elton Joy D’Souza, energised the crowd and set the pace for the rest of the evening.

KE president Pramod D’Souza, in his address, acknowledged all those who contributed their time, effort and financial support. Inviting them to the stage, he recognised the Board, the sub-committee leads (KE WE and GenNow), administrative support from Jennifer, the volunteers and the generous sponsorship from 42 members and lead members who made the event possible.

No Christmas celebration is complete without live music, and RhythMMates delivered an unforgettable performance. The dance floor remained full as KE members danced to popular English numbers, Konkani baila medleys and other foot-tapping tunes. A delicious buffet spread — including snacks, a chaat counter, a lavish dinner featuring traditional Mangaluru fare, live appam stations and a range of beverages — rounded off the celebrations.

The KE Christmas Xtravaganza 3.0 pulled out all the stops, leaving members, their families and guests with broad smiles as they welcomed Christmas and brought 2025 to a joyful close.
