Sullia, Dec 13: A youth from Sullia lost his life in a road accident after an unidentified vehicle collided with his motorcycle at Malavalli near Mysuru in the early hours of Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Dikshit (25), son of Sheshappa Naik, a resident of Kaltar in Ubaradka Mithoor village, Sullia.
Dikshit was employed with a private company in Bengaluru and was travelling by motorcycle from Bengaluru to his native place at Kaltar, Kandadka. While he was riding near Malavalli close to Mysuru, an unidentified vehicle rammed into his motorcycle and fled the scene.
Dikshit sustained severe injuries in the accident and was being shifted to a nearby hospital by locals when he succumbed to his injuries.
He is survived by his father, mother and brother.
