A resident of Gonda district, Muskan’s educational journey began in local schools, after which she pursued a BTech degree from IIT Jabalpur. While many candidates opt for structured coaching institutes to prepare for UPSC, Muskan chose a self-study route, meticulously planning her preparation strategy at home. Her unwavering focus and dedication to her goal helped her achieve the distinguished 36th rank in UPSC 2025, earning her the prestigious opportunity to join the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

Her father, a joint director in the animal husbandry department, and her mother, a homemaker, supported her academic aspirations throughout her preparation journey. Muskan has two younger sisters, with one currently studying veterinary science, reflecting the family’s strong emphasis on education.
