Udupi, Feb 17: The overpass being constructed at the Katapadi National Highway junction will be completed within the stipulated timeframe, assured Udupi MP Kota Srinivas Poojary.
MP Kota Srinivas Poojary visited the construction site along with Kaup MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty to review the progress of the ongoing works. Speaking to the media, he said that the construction is progressing at a satisfactory pace and is on track for timely completion.



According to the MP, one side of the road is expected to be completed and opened for vehicular movement by the last week of March. Once traffic is diverted to the newly completed stretch, work on the other side will commence, followed by the completion of the overpass. The entire project is scheduled to be completed within 11 months from the date of commencement.
“The work is progressing swiftly and in a satisfactory manner. The MLA and other local representatives are closely monitoring the developments. I have instructed the officials and the contractor to ensure that the project is completed within the stipulated time,” MP Kota Srinivas Poojary said.
MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty, who also inspected the site, held discussions with officials regarding the ongoing works. He directed them to expedite the project while ensuring that inconvenience to the public is kept to a minimum.
Among those present during the inspection were BJP leader Geethanjali Suvarna, gram panchayat members Pavithra Shetty, Savitha Ashok Shetty, Subhas Ballal, Moygin Saheb, Katapady police station sub-inspector Dayanand, and several local leaders including Muralidhara Pai, Santosh, Harshith, Nithin V Sherigar, and others.
