Bantwal: Toddler severely injured in stray dog attack at Vittal

Bantwal, Feb 20: A minor girl was severely injured after being attacked by a stray dog while she was on her way to an Anganwadi centre in Bolanthur of Bantwal taluk on February 19.

The injured child has been identified as Rijila Saramma, daughter of Riyaz, a resident of Narsha Bangarakodi in Bolanthur.

The incident occurred in the morning when Rijila was walking alone to the Anganwadi centre located near her house. A stray dog suddenly pounced on her and attacked her.

The child sustained deep injuries across her body, including severe wounds to her face. She was immediately rushed to a hospital in Mangaluru, where she is currently undergoing treatment.

The incident has caused significant concern among the local residents regarding the growing stray dog menace in the area.
