Beltangady/Karkala Feb 21: Several villages along the Beltangady-Karkala border were treated to unexpected rainfall on Saturday, February 21, bringing relief to local residents and farmers.

The border areas of Beltangady and Karkala taluks experienced good showers in the evening, with moderate to heavy rainfall reported in pockets.

Rain was particularly recorded around 3 pm in Nellikaru in Karkala, and in Naravi, Kadirudyavar, and Kashipatt in Beltangady.

Local residents welcomed the showers, noting that the rain comes as a timely boon for agricultural activities and helps replenish water sources in the region.

Farmers expressed satisfaction over the rainfall, saying it will benefit crops in the border villages that had been experiencing dry conditions in recent weeks.
