KRCL to run additional Holi special trains between Ahmedabad and Mangaluru

Udupi, Feb 26: In view of the heavy rush of passengers during the upcoming Holi festival, Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) has announced the operation of additional weekly special trains between Ahmedabad and Mangaluru.

Train No. 09424 Ahmedabad – Mangaluru Junction (Weekly) Special on Special Fare will depart from Ahmedabad at 4:00 pm on Fridays — February 27, March 6, March 13 and March 20, 2026 — and will reach Mangaluru Junction at 8:00 pm the following day.

In the return direction, Train No. 09423 Mangaluru Junction – Ahmedabad (Weekly) Special on Special Fare will leave Mangaluru at 10:30 pm on Saturdays — February 28, March 7, March 14 and March 21, 2026 — and will arrive in Ahmedabad at 2:15 am on the third day.

The special train will halt at Nadiad, Anand Junction, Vadodara Junction, Bharuch Junction, Surat, Vapi, Vasai Road, Bhiwandi Road, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Sangameshwar Road, Ratnagiri, Rajapur Road, Vaibhavwadi Road, Kankavali, Sindhudurg, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim, Karmali, Madgaon Junction, Canacona, Karwar, Ankola, Gokarna Road, Kumta, Murdeshwar, Bhatkal, Mookambika Road Byndoor (H), Kundapura, Udupi, Mulki and Surathkal stations.

The train will consist of a total of 22 coaches, including two AC 2-tier coaches, four AC 3-tier coaches, 12 sleeper class coaches, two general coaches and two SLR coaches. Passengers are requested to make use of these special services introduced to ease travel congestion during the Holi festival season.
