Mangaluru: ‘Own Your Pause’ menopause awareness event to be held on Mar 7

Mangaluru, Mar 6: Marking International Women’s Day, The Glowing Corner in association with KMC Hospital will host a special awareness event titled ‘Own Your Pause’, on Saturday, March 7, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at The Ocean Pearl, Kodialbail, aimed at bringing menopause-related discussions to the forefront. The programme, being organized for the first time in Mangaluru, seeks to create awareness and provide guidance for women navigating menopause.

The event will feature a series of expert-led sessions focusing on various aspects of menopause and women’s health. The sessions include Introduction to menopause, emotional and mental wellbeing, nutrition and health, fitness and strength training, and bone health.

A panel of experts will address the participants during the programme. The speakers include Dr Joylene D’Almeida, Sanjana Shenoy, Deepa Santhosh, Dr Krithishree S, Dr Haripriya S, and Dr Vivian D’Almeida.

Participation in the programme is free of registration cost and is open to women aged 38 years and above. The organisers have limited the event to a maximum of 25 participants on a first-come, first-registered basis.

In addition to the sessions, participants will also be offered a complimentary Sip & Paint session conducted by Artliciously Yours as part of the event experience.
