Rainfall, thunder showers reported across Dakshina Kannada

Mangaluru, Mar 17: Rain was reported in various parts of Dakshina Kannada (DK) district on Monday. Thunder showers occurred in Beltangady, Dharmasthala, Ujire, Mundaje, Guruvayanakere, Shishila, Arasinamakki and Kashibettu.

Moderate rainfall was also reported on Monday night in Moodbidri, BC Road in Bantwal taluk, Mani, Barimaru, Kalladka, Sarapady, Maninalkuru and Navoor areas. Rain was also recorded in Subrahmanya, Uppinangady and Ujire regions. Rainfall was also reported in Panaje and Bettampady of Puttur taluk.

According to the forecast of the Indian Meteorological Department, a yellow alert has been issued in the district until March 20, with the possibility of rainfall.

In Mangaluru, the maximum temperature recorded on Monday was 33.7°C, while the minimum temperature was 23.9°C.
