Mangaluru, Apr 3: The vessel 'Leela Jamnagar' has arrived at the New Mangalore Port (NMP) carrying 2.7 lac metric tonnes of crude oil from China.

The ship, which sailed from Zhoushan port in China, is expected to supply the crude oil to the Indian Strategic Petroleum Reserves Limited (ISPRL) underground facility in Mangaluru. Additionally, another vessel, 'Al Ain', has arrived at the port carrying 19,600 metric tonnes of LPG.

The port is witnessing a surge in energy shipments this week. On April 3, the vessel 'Desh Bhakt' is scheduled to arrive with 63,171 metric tonnes of Mangala crude oil from Rajasthan for Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL).

Furthermore, on April 5, the vessel 'Jag Vasant' is expected to reach the port with 9,500 metric tonnes of LPG for Hindustan Petroleum (HPCL), Indian Oil (IOCL), and Bharat Petroleum (BPCL). On the same day, a massive tanker, 'Gabon Prosperity', is slated to arrive at Mangaluru with 2,75,021 metric tonnes of crude oil destined for MRPL.
