Kundapur: Car crushed in lorry collision; occupants escape miraculously

Kundapur, Apr 4: Four occupants of a car had a narrow escape after a speeding and negligent lorry rammed into their vehicle from behind near Hangaluru on National Highway 66 on Friday April 3.

The family of Greeshma, a dentist from Kerala, was returning after visiting Kollur when the accident occurred. A lorry transporting goods from Mumbai to Padubidri collided with their car from behind near Hangaluru.

Due to the impact of the accident, the car was severely damaged and crushed.

The mishap led to traffic congestion on the highway for some time. Later, Kundapura traffic police SI Anoop Kumar and staff arrived at the spot and restored smooth vehicular movement.
