Udupi July 28: Suresh Naik, an ordinary police constable and driver by profession at the District Arm Reserve police is today the happiest person in this world. His 12 years of service of working at the department has inspired him to write a book for the society.

‘Nee Suryanadhare Bhoomi Thirugale Beku’ Part I, his book on positive things of life and a vision of practical things in life, will be released on Sunday July 29 at Chandu Maidana Road, DAR Auditorium. He said that he has already completed writing six parts of the book which will be released every three months.

Suresh Naik, a native of Mudhur Grama, Kollor Kundapur is the last among the seven sons of the couple Annappa Naik and Seetha. Married to Nagarathna, he has a baby girl – Inchara now going to UKG at Indrali English Medium School. He says a small family is a happy family. He grew up in a poor family. Education was very valuable for him. He completed his primary studies at Ashrama School, Kundapur and secondary education from Shankar Narayana Collage. Since his family could not afford for his further studies, he did his direct PUC from the Board.

With his personal interest he answered the police exam. In the year 1999 he joined Gangolli police station as a constable where he underwent four months of driving training and got a confirmed job as zilla escort police driver. In the year 2009 he joined under Circle Inspector’s driver.

Though he was working in the police department, he had an immense desire for reading. Later he developed the habit of writing. The rough writing led him to become a good writer. Today he is a great writer and is contributing to the society.

The book which contains 308 pages costs Rs 200. Harsha Prakashana, Mangalore is the publisher. 500 books will be printed in the first batch. “There is no motto for profit. I want to reach the public who really want the help and lead them towards the right path”, he added.

He said human wants are endless, but it is important to learn how to be happy in the existing environment. His book is a small attempt to lead the people in the right way. It easy to dream but to put it in reality is difficult, he said. The book mentions more about the practical things of life and gives the reader an optimistic approach. “Right thinking will lead a person in right way and right person will definitely make a right society”, he added.

He is also great fan of Osho. His friend Kishor from the control room at the station helped him in the publication. He said that all the people around him have always been very much inspiring and helpful.

To obtain feedbacks about the book he has requested his readers to do the same via the contact details given on the last page.

Congratulations Mr. Suresh Naik....Always be positive...it is very difficult to find a positive person in your police clan. Yes one must find happiness in the things we have instead of longing for the things beyond our reach and be sad always.
