Chandigarh, Aug 25 (IANS): What the Salman Khan-starrer "Ek Tha Tiger" could not achieve, Punjabi movie "Ajj De Ranjhe" has accomplished -- it will be released in Pakistan.
The Punjabi film is scheduled for worldwide release Sep 7, director Manmohan Singh said Sunday.
He said it will also be released in India, Canada, New Zealand, Britain, the US, Australia and European countries along with Pakistan the same day.
Pakistan has banned on "Ek Tha Tiger".
"Pakistan has a very big Punjabi population. We are excited about the release of our film in Pakistan," said Manmohan singh, who is an ace Bollywood cinematographer.
"This is like a dream come true in the context of Punjabi films," he added.
"The Pakistan release will provide Punjabi cinema with a new Punjabi market. Without including Pakistan's Punjab, the ambit of Punjabi audience is very limited."
"Ajj De Ranjhe" is a romantic comedy starring Aman Dhaliwal, Gurleen Chopra and Gurpreet Ghuggi.
