Los Angeles, Sep 13 (IANS): Singer Chris Brown has met parents and children affected by domestic violence during an event he co-hosted with the NGO Jenesse Center.
"It's in my heart to show my fans, my friends and family and the families at Jenesse who stood by me they were right to give me another chance. I'm working hard to make them proud," digitalspy.co.uk quoted Brown as saying.
Brown was convicted of assaulting ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009.
Speaking of their work with Brown and his mother Joyce Hawkins, herself a victim of domestic violence, Jenesse founder Karen Earl said: "Chris and his mom have spent many quiet hours at our facilities, no cameras, no special attention or entourages."
Brown's work with the organisation apparently dates back to 2009.
