Bridgefort University, Conneticut, USA, Dec 3: Jovita S Fernandes, pursuing MBA at the Bridgefort University Connecticut USA,  has won the Miss UB International Beauty contest held at the University on December 1.

The 22 yr old studying towards earning an MBA in Global financial services in University of Bridgeport presented herself in five different outfits, a talent and finally a wit tester.

In all black dress, she introduced herself as a desi girl. In business wear she chose a sophisticated yet professional look. In swim wear she was vivacious with utmost simplicity. In formal wear Jovita swept the crowd off their feet and in traditional dress, a lengha choli that Jovita herself designed, enhanced her Indian features just to perfection.  In the talent contest Jovita danced to the beats of Des Rangila and did justice to her theme of Diverse India.

Jovita won the judges’ hearts by her responses to questions asked to her. 
 
She is the daughter of Joy and Judy Fernandes, Bangalore and is the grand daughter  of Leo (Liyab) and Mary D’Souza.
 

Jovita completed her primary school at St Agnes, Bendur, high School studies in Bangalore and for her PUC came down to Mangalore studied at Padua PU College. She has also completed her BCom from St Aloysius College Mangalore.

She then began to work for Northern Trust , a branch of an American Company at Bangalore and soon she left to Connecticut for pursue her MBA.

Jovita has a brother, Joel Fernandes doing his BCom at St Joseph's College, Bangalore. Her father Joy is an electronic engineer while her mother Judy, a BBM graduate.

Fr Sudhir D'Souza, her uncle is attaining his ministry in USA along with his studies while her mother’s sister Joyce (Sunita) has  settled in Canada, along with her family. Sandeep, Jovita's uncle is a staff  cabin crew member of  Emirates Airlines.
 
Jovita is well versed in English and French and works part-time, at the University office, along with her studies.
