M'lore: Pradeep Prabhakar takes charge as dist HDK Yuva Sene prez

Mangalore, Mar 5: Pradeep Kumar took charge as the district president of the newly-formed HDK Yuva Sene at a press meet held at Hotel Woodlands here on Tuesday March 5.

He was handed over the charge by Sadananda Shetty, JD(S) core committee president.

Addressing the meet, Pradeep said the Yuva Sene will unite several youths and will try to build leadership qualities in them. The group will emerge strong as it will concentrate on fighting against communal activities which are on the rise in the district, he said.

He further said that HDK Yuva Sene will unite youths in all the colleges and will give them a platform to create peace and harmony in the society.

Pradeep Prabhakar has been elected as the president by Sharan Gowda, state president of HDK Yuva Sene as recommended by state president HD Kumaraswamy. Sandeep Salian is the Mangalore zonal president.

Speaking on the occasion, Sadananda Shetty said that Pradeep has been into political, social and religious activities since childhood. Sadananda Shetty wished that HDK Yuva Sene would grow under his leadership and be able to maintain communal harmony in the society.

Gopalkrishna Attavar, zonal president, Vasant Poojary, chief secretary, Ratnakar Suvarna, Srinath Rai, working president of JD(S) youth wing, Sandeep Salian, zonal president of HDK Yuva Sene, Ramakrishna Shetty among others were present.
