Bangalore / New Delhi, Jan 3: One of the three persons detained in connection with the attack on the Indian Institute of Sciences (IISc) in Bangalore visited the prestigious institute on the morning of December 28, the day of the incident, informed sources said.
Of the two persons detained in Bangalore, one visited the IISc in the morning and was understood to have been enquiring about the topography of the auditorium where a seminar was being held, said security officials interrogating the trio.
The attack took place in the evening when delegates from the seminar were heading for a dinner.
The detained person was identified by the wife of an officer of the IISc who told the investigators that the person enquired about the auditorium in the morning.
Security officials probing the Bangalore attack found the imprint of Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba in the attack that left a retired IIT professor dead and four others injured.
