Bangalore, Feb 26: The Karnataka Goan Association (KGA) and the Kanara Catholic Association (KCA) jointly celebrated the "Festa de Carnaval" – Goan Carnival in the city. It was held in the Ferns Residency on Saturday, February 25
Goa's Premier Band - The Music Company, entertained the participants. Fun, Prizes and food stalls were aplenty.
It is said that King Momo, a Greek God was the patron of Carnival, a prelude to Lent. Potuguese introduced carnival to Goa, and as a tradition, the King Momo inaugurates the function.
As a part of the celebration, fancy dress competition was held and the prizes were awarded to the most creative and colourful competitors.
