Beltangady, Mar 28: A person who had gone missing from his house for the last 9 days was found dead on Monday March 27.

Prabhakar Achary (45), a resident of Nelyapalke of Kutlur had left his house on Saturday March 18 to fetch kerosene oil from Naravi.  However, he never returned home.  Though the family members tried to search him, they were not successful.

But on Monday morning, when some of the residents had gone to the Kalkuda Temple near Udecchar, they started getting nauseating smell from the nearby hillock.  When they searched in the area, they found Prabhakar dead on the hillock.

Prabhakar was a tailor by profession and was owning a shop.  However, owing to a loss in business, he had taken to alcohol.  Moreover, he had taken loan from several persons who were asking him for the repayment of the same.

His brother Janardhan Achary has now filed a case with the Venoor police in this regard.
