Mother Theresa church holds inter vado cricket tournament

Mangalore, Dec 2: Mother Theresa church at Paldane, Mangalore recently held their inter vado cricket tournament in the parish.

Six teams in the parish participated in the tournament. St Peter team defeated St Paul team by four wickets and won the trophy in the finals.

Fr G W Vas, parish priest of the church, set the tournament in motion by leading a prayer. E Fernandes, director of Four winds mass communication, batted the ball bowled by Jerome Pinto and inaugurated the tournament.

Anil Monteiro, vice president of church welfare committee; Cecilia D’ Silva, secretary; Oswald D’ Silva of cricket tournament committee; Melwin D’ Souza, Roshan Monteiro, Roshan Lasrado, winning team captain Ronald Menezes, Umpires Vinod, Praveen and Shekar were present along with the winning team.
