Kuwait May1: Writers Forum Kuwait (Regd) held its Anual general body meeting on the 28th April, 2006 at the residence of the Vice president of Writers Forum and Dogri/Hindi writer Mrs.Maimuna Chowgley.

The meeting was presided over by the President of the Writers Forum and Konkanni writer Lancy Pinto Nayak whereas Writers forum member Ali Chowgley was the Chief Guest. At the outset, Sharma in his short overview, mentioned various achievements and activities of the Writers forum, and he also thanked all the members for being supportive to carry out such activities.


Treasurer Mr.VEP Mathiazhagan presented the accounts during the meeting.

Lancy Pinto Nayak, the outgoing president in his speech, thanked all the members for giving him the chance to lead the forum and for extending their wholehearted support to all the activities conducted by the writers forum.

Election commissioner Ali Chowgley conducted the election and the following committee was being formed;

General Secretary: Valley Quadras [Konkani/Kannada Writer/Poet]
Joint Secretary: Ravi Premchand [Telugu Poet]

PRO: VEP Mathiazhagan [Tamil Poet]
Executive member-1: Gurbakh Singh Dogra [Punjabi Poet]
Executive member-1: Maimuna Chowgley [Dogri/Hindi Writer]
