Washington, Jan 29 (IANS): It only cost Carmelo Anthony 24 minutes to grab 24 points and nine rebounds as the New York Knicks breezed past the Boston Celtics 114-88 for their third straight victory.
It was an easy game for the host team, 12 members of which got a chance to play and all of them at least scored once Tuesday. None of the Knicks' starting five played more than 30 minutes.
Tyson Chandler had 12 points and 13 rebounds. Jeremy Tyler and J.R. Smith had 17 points each.
Jeff Green led the Celtics with 14 points. Chris Johnson and Kris Humphries made 12 points apiece.
The Knicks would next face the Cleveland Cavaliers.
