Chilly day in Delhi, Sunday to be cloudy


New Delhi, Feb 1 (IANS): It was a chilly Saturday in the capital with the maximum temperature two notches below average at 19.6 degrees Celsius. The Met office forecast a cloudy Sunday.

"The day will become cloudy Sunday with moderate fog in the morning," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

The minimum temperature Saturday was three notches above average at 11.1 degrees Celsius, and humidity wavered between a high and low of 91 and 66 percent.

Sunday's maximum and minimum temperature are likely to hover around 20 and 10 degrees Celsius.

Friday's minimum temperature settled two notches above the season's average at 10 degrees Celsius, while the maximum temperature was a notch below the season's average, at 21.1 degrees Celsius.
