Udupi, Apr 18 : Good Friday is a religious day observed primarily by Christians commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary. The day is observed during Holy Week as part of the Paschal Triduum on the Friday preceding Easter Sunday, Good Friday at Mt Rosary Church Kallianpur was observed in a meaningful manner. The way of the cross was enacted by the members of sodality & YCS at 3 pm which began the days ceremony. Later the passion gospel of the lord was sung and homily was preached by Fr Robert Lasrado, Capuchin.
Later the unveiling of the cross and the kissing of the cross took place. The final part was the distribution of the holy eucharist which concluded the days ceremony.Fr Philip Neri,parish Priest, Fr Denis Dsouza, Pilar Fathers Kallianpur Co – Celebrated the mass.
