Mangalore, Jul 2: The inauguration of 59th annual general meeting of the ICYM of Mangalore diocese was held in the Milagres Jubilee Hall on Sunday morning. The inauguration of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations is scheduled to be held in the afternoon.

Fr Leo Praveen Lasrado of the ICYM Episcopal varado inaugurated the celebrations. Youth director Fr Elias D'Souza, ICYM president Arun Ajekar, secretary Mareeta D'Souza Siddakatte and lady animator Sr Leena were on the dais

Sunil and Anita Moras compered the event. President Arun Ajekar welcomed the gathering. Babita Fernandes Ammebal proposed the vote of thanks.

Schedule for the day:

1-30 pm:

Inauguration of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, expected to be inaugurated by chief minister H D Kumaraswamy, with union minister Oscar Fernandes as chief guest and Bishop Aloysius P D'Souza presiding over the function. State minister B Nagaraj Shetty and MLA N Yogish Bhat will be guests.

3-00 pm:

9th Cup Award presentation ceremony

Union minister Oscar Fernandes will be chief guest, with the Bishop to preside over and with Milagres parish priest Walter D'Mello, NRI entrepreneur from Abu Dhabi Leo Rodrigues and DCC vice president Ivan D'Souza as guests.
